Hi. I am new to this group and have been having some crazy stuff go on with my Samsung laptop the past few days. My husband bought this laptop from a friend of ours to use for school. It has always said her name under the files. Monday we tried to change it by following instructions on-line. However, ever since doing that, it looks like somehow we completely restored the entire computer. All of his school word documents had been moved the trash bin, although I had saved his previous theme, it wasn't there after all of this took place and also Internet Explorer is not working not. It will say, "Internet Explorer has stopped working..." while trying to go to a website. Also this morning I have noticed now, whenever you try to change anything, like your homepage on the internet or anything in the control panel, the boxes that pop up (where you can check/un-check things, etc.) are all blank. You cannot see any words or the "OK" "Cancel" buttons. The only things visible are the check marks on things that are checked. I am getting so frustrated with this and my husband needs this laptop for his schoolwork. I have included some screenshots of what I mean. If anyone could please help me, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!! TIA!!

Well, that is also a problem because when I pull that up the screen is empty like the others were. I cannot see anything there.

At this point I don't know what else to do. My husband needs Internet Explorer and everything to run properly. The box says Samsung R480....does that help?
