Help? Random crashing/restarting

    Help? Random crashing/restarting

    Basically my laptop will randomly reset and crash

    and basically it would reset the time and date, i have no clue what too do, and at the current moment i feel like throwing this out of the window, hence the name,

    can someone help please?

    Welcome
    The lap top is set to restart with every crash. To prevent this
    1. Go to Start > Control Panel > System
    2. Go to Advanced
    3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
    4. Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

    This solution will not prevent the crashing, you just have to restart it yourself. Not a good solution.

    With more information we may be able to prevent the crash.

    Right, did that. and got blackscreen mid posting this, well i dont know, what do u want too know and ill give u details, im not too advanced with this, it just randomly crashes for no possible reason help?

    Great, there is nothing wrong with your computer, its the software
    In safe mode, see if you can get to system restore
    Repair Vista Options - Preferred Sequence
    Number 6

    No so > Acer extensa 5510, and im not willing to fork out 200$ for a new operating system im only 14...
