Solved cant i turn on my computer with no hardrive in it

i like to know if i cant turn it on with no hardrive in it .
all i like to see is the led .
well how it will look that all .
i do have every thing in but not the drive .
i will get it next week

I'm sure that it will power-on and show you the loading screen, but you can expect to crash and recieve a BSOD in a few seconds.

Yep, it should still boot, but you'll get a "no HDD detected" type error.

I wonder if you set up the CMOS to boot from the USB drive as the first option, that it would let you run without a hard drive. Of course, you'd need to have a complete OS installation on the USB drive. But if there's a mandatory check for a boot sector on C: as a core part of Vista and W7 boot up functionality, then it wouldn't be possible.

this is the case i have and i have to order 2 [60 mm] led fan for the back and some laser light and maybe a few 88 m led fan so i have to turn it on to see what i need so it be looking good when am done with it .

Take a live CD (e.g. a Linux OS), change the BIOS boot order to boot from the CD/DVD drive and off you go. Same with a live Linux USB stick.

when i boot it i will have the drive in that will be next week this is when i be receive it .right i am not looking for that .
i have my cd and my key's for vista 32 bits home preminum
