Files and Folders names reflect as last modification date

I have Windows Vista home edition OS.
I've faced with the following problem - all files and folders reflect not by name but last modification (creation) date.
Already checked Folder Options (Control Panel).

Welcome
Assuming that your folders are in your documents. Go to the page with the folders, right click on any blank space. You will get a choice how to arrange.

Thx richc46 for the help. Will try to do it.
By the way i found the same problem on the Microsoft forum.
Description is better than mine :)

"Windows Explorer - Modified Date replaces the File Names

In Vista Home 64 in the right hand pane of Windows Explorer, instead of filenames, i now only see the dates of the files and folders where the filenames usually appear.

I also see this on the desktop. I have the icon for the file or folder and under it, I see the Modified Date instead of the file name.

In Control Panel, now many of hte applets will no longer launch. For instance, I cannot launch system and Maintenance to see my windows activation number to contact support.

This is likely due to a virus. A number of people reported this a few years ago.

First before you try anything else, I'd run an anti-virus checker, like Malewarebytes. This will help verify if you're still infected.

There is one solution posted that at least got some positive response for fixing it (Filename Disappears From Windows Explorer, shows Date Modified instead). In short, this is what it covers:

The following registry key is affected:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PropertySystem\PropertySchema\CachedSchema

Next, close Windows Explorer. Back up the "PropertySchema" key branch and then delete the "CachedSchema" sub key. Also, kill any remaining Explorer.exe process. Re-launch Explorer and the problem should be rectified.
