VISTA Sleep Issue

We are facing sleep/wake up issues on many machines in Bangladesh and Vietnam . All we could do is to press power button for force shutdown.
We performed basic troubleshooting and uninstalling Anti virus from these machines has resolved the case.
Re-installed Anti virus Endpoint protection on few machines worked fine for few days, but the issue reoccurred.
As per Radia Anti virus application got installed successfully on the affected machines.

We have got 2 entries from event viewers.

1 ) the last sleep transaction was un successful.........
2 ) the system has resumed from sleep....

Also we have encaged vendor for further investigation, they said all good related with anti virus.

Please help ...

Ok, I'm just throwing this out there as a suggestion, but I had this issue after I updated the video drivers on my computer. It would show me a black screen when I tried to "wake up" the machine. I simply went into the control panel for my video card software and restored the defaults and somehow it was OK after that.

Are all the computers the same model?

If all of the machines behave this way with no exceptions, then there must be some issue with this anti-virus, either the program itself or it's contaminated with a virus specifically targeting this product.

I suggest trying out something different on one machine: Install the Windows MSE (Security Essentials), which is free for a Vista machine. See how it works out.
