Storage available but Restore Points still disappearing.
Shadow copy shows much larger amount available then is used?>
[I was losing disk space, I would delete programs, clean temp files, paths to old files etc. It would be ok for a while....then I almost think it would double the size missing.]

I had previously changed the size of the storage space to 3GB...then moved it to a larger size because I kept loosing Restore Points.

C: shows that I have an adequate amount of storage (I think?) and am still missing restore points. Is the storage on the D: large enough?
I was even creating storage pts manually, they still disappear.

Please tell me what to do.

Welcome
Can be several reasons,
It is most likely some software erasing the points, such as your anti virus. This is most likely the case if: You make a restore point, and then a day or two later its gone.
If that is the situation it can also be a bad hard drive or a drive that needs defrag.
Go to search and type event viewer, in viewer go to administrative in left panel and look for all errors or critical that ocurred the day of the problem.
Report back.
As far as I know you cannot have points made for one partition and saved on another.
If points are made for your OS on Drive C, the points should be saved on C.
You should have at least 5% of your space for the Restore points.

Thank you.

I am in the Event Viewer....(everytime I go into this, it makes me nervous, because I don't know what is normal, and what isn't?)

On a couple of occasions I saw this Error: "Configuring the Page file for crash dump failed. Make sure there is a page file on the boot partition and that is large enough to contain all physical memory."

I did not know that the Page-File sze needed to match the physical RAM? It is currently using 1GB but the Max size is 14GB.

Would this affect System Restore settings?

I changed the Page File to "System Managed" and went back into the Event Viewer.
This error has presented MANY times: //./root/CIMV2SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99

....I don't know what it means?
