Disk read error

I jost got the error
a disk read error occurred
Press Ctrl+ Alt + Del. to restart

It just loops.

Vista 64, Sony vaio laptop

Any ideas?

Yes, your hard drive is dying or dead. Back up your stuff if you can.

Stop the loop then try to see if it works in safe mode. Its a test to be sure it is the Hard Drive. If it does work its not the Drive.
