My HP a6550a with Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit installed went into System Restore Infinite loop mode and I have tried so many times for weeks to try and fix it.
I'm fairly good with computers but I'm no genius with this so I'm really desperate for help, all I want is my old computer back. (I don't care if I have to erase the whole thing I just really want my computer back to working normally)
I created a recovery disk and I changed the settings in the boot setup so that the disk is loaded. I found my product key stuck to the side of my computer (store bought pre-installed) and thought I had found my solution to put in the product key and hip hip hooray I have my computer back, but it isn't always that simple.
It came up with this message:
"Windows cannot open required file F:/Sources/Install.wim. The file does not exist. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070002"
I've been looking all over for a solution and I have been unsuccessful every time.
It would mean A LOT to me if I finally found a solution!
P.S I have tried also the option of repairing the computer on the set-up menu but when it said to choose a driver to load, their were none and I didn't know where to find it.
