display brightness

hi everyone

my display brightness keeps dimming, I thought i had sorted it by adjusting
the brightness in power options but this has not worked, how do i stop this from happening, it is happening every time i switch on my computer.

I have had this problem for a couple of weeks
I am using an Acer Aspire 5920 laptop
I have been re-setting using the power options in the control panel

We can perform few troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue:

2. Connect an external monitor (if available) and check if the brightness would decrease
