Restoring folders from deleted box

Somehow a folder containing sub folders of all my friends and family has found itself as a sub-folder in another folder in the deleted box. Don't ask me how it happened, I haven't a clue but obviously it must be due to something I'd done. My problem now is how to get the folder back into local folders as it was. I've read plenty of articles on restoring seperate e-mails, but nothing on retrieving folders/sub folders. I would be extremely grateful for any help.

Welcome
If you mean the recycle bin (deleted box), just right click on the deleted document and then restore.

Sorry i should have made it clear that i was referring to folders in vista windows mail which obviously is a different thing to documents folders and i suspect will have a much more complicated solution. I do hope you can still help.

Many thanks

OK,iIf I understand, now, lets try this.
Go to the deleted folder, then mark all the emails, then right click and then move to folder (of your choice)

Mark=as though you were going to copy, in a copy and paste procedure.

Thanks for your reply. I still think I have not made my problem clear. What I am actually trying to do is move a complete e-mail folder in Windows Mail which I've named "Friends and Family" which contains several sub-folders headed with names of various friends and family which contain e-mails to/from them. This complete folder has somehow ended up as a sub-folder within a sub folder under another folder heading in the deleted folder. Odd I know, don't ask me how it happened but it did. Now my problem is I want to get this "Friends and Family" folder in its entirity out of the deleted folder back into "local folders" in Windows Mail where it was originally. Is there no way of moving the complete folder back in one go rather than moving every single e-mail back individually.

Many thanks for your help.

Create a new folder, call it what you want. Then go to the problem folder, mark off all lthe emails that you want to move and then right click and move to appropriate folder. It should be easy and not one by one.

Thank you once again for your help. I may seem stupid (must have been to have ended up in this mess anyway and am probably not explaining things very well) but my aim is to move the complete "friends and family" folder containing the sub folders headed with individual names of friends and family back as it was into local folders. I don't just want to move the e-mails back i want to move the complete folder containing the headed sub folders. I hope you can help. Sorry if i've not explained the problem properly.

Many thanks

Unfortunately,
I did understand you in the last post and what I am saying is that I do not know how to do what you want. In lieu of doing exactly what you want, I suggest is making new folders the way you want, and then putting the email in those folders. You can come up with names very similar to what you had for example Friends can be called friends1. If it works the solution will be very close to what you had.

The folder should go to C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail after being restored as Rich has said.
