I installed some updates the other day, one of which was an update for my graphics card driver. Since doing this I have been unable to get past the loading screen. Instead of the login screen appearing I just get a black screen. Only the mouse cursor is visible and I am able to move it around the screen.
My first thought was that it was an issue with the graphics card's driver. However, I put a new graphics card in my PC and I'm still having the same problem, so I'm assuming that it goes deeper than this.
I am also unable to boot in safe mode as I have the same issue, so I have no access to system restore.
Is there any way for me to fix this problem without reformatting?
