After save mode, the screen got the lowest resolution

Hi,

Recently, when I use my computer and let it alone for some time, the screen turned to save mode, after I re-active it, the screen got the lowest resolution! I need to restarted it and it went back to the resolution I set, but I have to re organize all the icons in the desktop.

Do you know what happend and what I should do?

Safe Mode is always a much lower resolution than regular mode. However I do not know why a machine would go into Safe Mode automatically - that is something you have to tell it to do.

Try this: when windows has loaded, go to start>run> type "msconfig" and hit the Enter key go to the "boot.ini" tab and deselect the option "/SAFEBOOT" (if already not selected then cancel this step).

More likely it would go into Hibernation or some other inactive state if your Advanced Power Settings have something set to sleep after a certain time. That often cause desktop icons to re-arrange themselves.

Thank you.

I have checked the option "/SAFEBOOT" and it was not selected.

I guess the reason why the icons were re-arranged was that I got many icons on the desktop, when the screen became lowest resolution, the icons got no enough space?

I will try to study in Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems
