Hello,

Glad to be on this site since I have many questions concerning movie maker for my window vista .
I got a window vista PC in 2006 ish and am just starting to use the movie maker program.
Since 6 years have gone by Im wondering if I should get the latest version for free?
Also it doesnt look that easy to use I downloaded a movie but there is no video only the soundtrack of the video???
I used to edit my videos with imovies (not that easy when just starting) but was told that movie maker was much easier to use???

Help help

Thank you

Welcome to the group. Good luck finding anyone who uses Windows Movie Maker. You might be best to do a Google Search for 'using Vista Windows Movie Maker', or similar wording. I have version 6 installed and assuming your Vista is SP2 and fully up to date, that's what you should have too. I've never used it personally.

Not sure what you planned on downloading but I only see WMM 2.6 online which is:

Movie Maker 2.6 is for Windows Vista users whose computer cannot run the Vista version of Movie Maker.

Try it by all means.

There are a few threads scattered around these forums about using WMM so a forum search might also be useful.

Good luck!
