Solved shift,delete,backspace and enter keys stopped working

recently those keys stopped working, its an external keyboard. i tried uninstalling/reinstalling through control panel,,same. tried different usb ports,,same..bought a new key board,,same keys don't work. formatted the computer,,same results,,tried updating drivers,,read the majority of previous threads listed here, and none of the responses seem to apply, like filter keys is already unchecked, etc

not sure this is even a software problem at this point, but, need to start somewhere to try and get this fixxed. been long enough. thank you for any insight

If it doesn't work on another system, it's a dead keyboard.

They usually go like that in vertical rows.

after 3 keyboards...a 10$ logitech from walmart works. going to chalk that one up to bad luck
