USB External drive used to open files when connected but not any more

Hi,

When I connect USB flash drive the windows open all contents saved in it.
I remember windows did the same with External drive but not any more. When I connect External drive I have to go to My Computer then click on the desired drive to open.

Do you think I need to make some kind of settings to make windows to open contents of the external drive when I connect via usb?

Any advice/suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Hello Shawn, Thank you very much for reply.

I re-checked the computer Auto play settings as described in the link you have provided and they are already set to Auo Play.

Just one thing which I could not find, it is written in the article of Autoplay Settings

"4. To Change AutoPlay Settings A) Click on the drop down menu next to the type of Media or Devices. (See screenshot above)
NOTE: Make sure that you have the device plugged in to change it's settings. (EX: USB device)"

My USB devices are ON and connected but I could not find any even if I click drop down menu as mentioned in the article.

Thank you for your reply.
As my system is in Japanese but hope after looking at two screen shots you might know if something is needed.
When the video recording is made USB external drive, audio interface, cooling fan were also connected with the computer.

I had also made a video screen shot but it seem I can not upload here therefore using screen shot images instead of a movie.

I like your suggestion, before I click on Submit Reply I changed the settings "Ask me every time" for everything but no avail.
