Vista is chewing up my hard drive space help

Hello everyone


I am trying to fix my sons computer. His hard rive is almost full but when you check on the control panel and look it says there are only 46 programs installed using 9.7 gig of space. He has a 70 gig harddrive and the indicator shows the disk almost full at 66 gig. where is the other stuff at so I can deleate it or is vista doing something to chew it up. Please help.

In addition download the free Malwarebytes run a scan
Run a scan with your anti virus, you should be ok. If you still have problems download windir stat. It will show you what you have on your drive.
