Question about Backup/Restore

I have just installed windows on a new drive. If I restore a backup on this drive, which I saved two years ago, will it include my saved emails from then in Windows Mail? I ask because, if I install Mail on the new drive, and then do the Backup Restore operation, I'm not sure what will happen to the old messages, which I'm hoping to save. I guess what I need to know is whether Mail will be included in the backup, and should I install Mail on the new drive, before or after I do the restore?

The emails most likely would not be included. If the mail is important however, I would back them up before using back up and restore.
I would install the mail after the restore to preserve the mail that is important to you, so that you would not have any risk of losing the mail.

Thanks Rich. I'll back them up and then do the restore. then hopefully I can add them to Mail once it's up and running.
