Solved some USB ports not working

Two of the USB ports intermittely do not work.
Could that be caused by too many peripheral connected to it. (six)
In one of the useable port I use a four port USB dongle to compensate for the lack of ports, but even that one does not always work.
The mother board is a nettle3 MCP61PM-HM.

I would go with externally powered solutions. One thing you can try that shouldn't hurt anything is boot into safe mode and uninstall the usb stuff in Device Manager. On reboot Windows will reinstall the same drivers. This often fixes stuff that works but does not work correctly.

But I suspect you are sharing the internal power across too many ports.

Thanks again, this uninstall and restart did work for the most part. Only one of the four USB outlets on the back of the PC did not work. However, with the four outlet USB dongle, I am good to go.

PS. There is no warning icon in the device manager to indicate a faulty USB port.

I hope it lasts for you. Sometimes that reboot trick works for quite awhile. Other times it "wears off." Let's hope for the best.
