IE explorer update for Windows Vista 32 bit

Recently Microsoft Japan sent an e-mail and encouraged users to update their MS IE in my case that is version 9.
I wanted to contact them via phone but no avail.
I wonder if any body tell me
Do I need to update Internet explorer 9? if so how, windows update won't do it.
Or I got to use it until the windows vista support expires?

Well, outside of a replacement browser (Chrome, Firefox, Seamonkey, Pale Moon, K-Meleon or Opera), you are stuck with IE 9 for the remainder of Vista's useful life. All of the other examples I provided though are up to date and compatible (except for Chrome, which Google will soon drop support for on Vista.)

Hi, thank you for the quick reply. I use Firefox, IE 9 is just installed to be used in emergency such as when some Japanese websites force me to use MS IE only in that situation I use it otherwise I prefer Firefox.

Gotcha (part of the reason I don't see it is likely because I use the "EF" skin to read the forum.)
