Re: Vista x64 Experts

Well, it'd be easier with a bit of an idea what we're looking at. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I can sometimes help with specific things. Same with most people here.

Re: Vista x64 Experts

aight cool..well first of all you can see my specs in the signature...i installed a clean install of vistax64 about 4 weeks ago when i built my computer. like many people the control panel isnt showing up..and i believe i got a hotfix for this. the problem though is that when the bootup screen comes it freezes...heard some people got this problem...normally a restart will fix this...now the weird part is though, it wont even go to the boot screen now..its a black screen..i updated my bios and everything...so yeah..

Re: Vista x64 Experts

Hi Mathews,

For the Control Panel issue, take a look at this link to see if it will help you.

http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/98619-my-control-panel-items-have-disappeared.html

The freezing and black screen at boot up is usually from a bad video driver. Check for a newer version or try reinstalling the driver you have again.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
