We got a good foot of snow here. A lot of digging, and a lot of school work. Mixed opinions of snow day on Facebook. That does show the amount of work we have just been given! Hmmm. The girls going to girls schools seem happy by the snow. The boys going to my school are moaning about the amount of work. Typical of my school! I thought the whole idea of a snow day was to play in the snow, not to do work!

However, being a private school, we get long holidays. My school longer than most. In fact, they are very aware that had the year been two days shorter, they would not allowed to have been called a school, but an educational club! Maximum two cancellation of days this year. One gone already!

The heck with it - go play in the snow! What are they going to do, expel you? Have your mom write a note that you were sick and couldn't do the assignments (and yes, they'll probably make it worse for you later as a result and you'll eventually have to do them, but at least this time will be yours). Playing in the snow was one of my favorite things at your age - especially snow like you just got. You deserve to enjoy this time of your life - so just do it!

I just have done! Just been tobogganing, but got in trouble for riding over this dead twig in what was apparently a flower bed! Then dug out the drive. Now on VF!

Well today, the delivery lorry drove through the ADSL cable and it snapped in two. It took 2 1/2 hours for me and my dad to solder a new cable to it and run it through the trees. It was also -6 outside which made it so much worse - I still can't feel my toes :(
