Where is my directx 10 ?

k so after listening to all the hype about the directx 10 and evrything i finally got a new graphics card with full directx 10 support and all...
one question
where is it??.....i searched everywhere even on the microsoft website...can anyone guide me how to download it??

If you are running Vista, then you already have DX10.
If you are running XP, then you have DX9C.
If you intend on continuing to run XP, then you will not be able to get DX10.
DX10 graphics cards all run just fine in DX9 mode.

well then why the hell does this need for speed most wanted keeps saying that ut cannot install the game on mys system since it need directx9c or higher??

Try running it as the administrator (right click...)

You might also try runing the game in XP SP2 Compatibility mode to see if it will run better. If not, you can easily turn it off.
