Re: doubt aero interface

They might be able to, but fairly slowly if at all. These are lower-end cards in those series, but a 5800 or a 6800 might be able to handle it just fine (from what my research is showing me). Those cards would certainly not give you the feel that Aero is inteded to give.

The good news is that you can run Vista without Aero enabled, if you choose to. That way, you can start using Vista and upgrade your card when you have the money or time to.

AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+, 6GB DDR2 PC6400 (800MHz) RAM, 2x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 TOXIC Edition (Crossfire Mode), ASUS M2R32-MVP Motherboard, Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi XtremeGamer, Western Digital 250GB HD

Microsoft isn't going to bust down your door if your GFX isn't up to par with their specs.

You might get pissed at the unresponsiveness of the Aero interface... thats all.
