I have a widescreen monitor and a 5:4 monitor. I use the widescreen monitor as my primary monitor and for my XBOX 360. The problem is that When I unplug the widescreen to plug in the XBOX360, the 5:4 becomes the primary, and all of my settings for the widescreen are reset. Is there a program/way to force windows to keep the widescreen active even when it is disconnected?

If you never installed monitor specific drivers and windows is using a generic driver, then that could cause your problem.
If you had the correct driver installed for the monitor it should save your info for when you plug it back in. There is not a way to keep your second monitor from becoming the primary because the computer needs it and does this automatically to give you a display when the primary is unplugged. |
