Radeon x1950 8.2 driver problems

I have used this graphics card for about 6 months on this new system and it has worked great with all the versions of CCC, but now, after I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled vista because of a virus, it does not work. Whenever I turned the computer on, I would get an error message that says MOM.Implementations could not be loaded or one of its dependencies. If I click ok then go into CCC, I get another error message about a different file, but the same problem. I am asking this because now when I try to install crysis the setup stops working and I figure it might be my graphics driver. I have tried reinstalling the driver several times with no luck.

Welcome to Vista Forums.

The lastest ATI driver version is 8.3. You might try that one to see if it will work better for you. If not, try installing it without the CCC and only with the driver.

I tried that, same problem. Both with CCC and without it. I tried some other video games, and none of them seem to be able to install correctly.

Try uninstalling everything listed with ATI in the Control Panel's Programs and Features, then restart the computer and try reinstalling the ATI drivers again. You may just have a bad driver install that needs to be cleaned first.
