In my opinion it will run just fine, so long as you don't try to crank the graphics up you should be able to play comfortably

Re: Will "Call of Duty 4" work well on my laptop?

Rip is right - your laptop should have very little in the way of issues playing that game - and the way it looks, if the 6600 is the min spec required, then you should get a decent playing experience. If those are the *recommended* specs then you should have a pretty good experience.

Re: Will "Call of Duty 4" work well on my laptop?

YES It will run on the NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS

Class 3
Low-Midrange Graphics Cards - Lower end of Graphics Cards for users who want to play games. New games should run on these cards, but only with decreased details and mediocre resolution.

Goto: Can You RUN It? It's pretty good web utility to indicate what you can and can't run.

I sent the requirments both suggested and minimum on an additional post. I also believe you should be fine just don't try to do any fancy tweaking on your graphics like he said and make sure your laptop has plenty of ventilation.

Re: Will "Call of Duty 4" work well on my laptop?

Everything suggest yes, until you look at the video card....the 8400GS is pretty poor unless you like low res or bad FPS but hopefully the rest of the rig will pull it up to a playable level without too much compromise in quality
