Gfx Power Requirements

Anyone think we'll go back to just plugging in one connector to our high end gfx cards? or are the days drawing closer when we'll need small nuclear reactors to play the latest games! I for one get at least a little concerned about how much power i use but like to have as much performance possible which is why i bought the 8800gts 512mb.
