If you can boot into safe mode on the CRT screen, right click on that screen and select PERSONALIZE and then you should see two boxes to represent your screens. Click IDENTIFY monitors so you know which is which and then using the drop down box, select the correct screen and make this your MAIN Monitor

Umm, I misread your English, I thought you could boot to Safe Mode and show on the CRT. OK, this is a Laptop and each Laptop has a Fn Key combination to display a second screen. On my Dell it is Fn key and tap the F8 key to bring up the CRT option, are you doing that?

Je ne parle pas Français. <smile>

When you see the few seconds with Fn F5, I think you may have to tap F5 again to move along to the CRT screen or the Both screen choices. All Laptops are different so maybe check your manual or someone with your Acer type may be able to help? Some need you to move the selection (after Fn/F5) with the right arrow key?

I meant for you to Hold Fn down (and keep held down), Tap F5 and then Tap F5 again and maybe again to make a selection of the screen type you want
