Vista - ATI Brand Warranty Info....

OK, so I've been doing my homework for what new GFX card I should get.. Go green i hear, go Red they are better bang for your buck.. It's the discussion of the month right now.. Who should we go for. I have an SLI board, but I've never gone Red... so i think I'll give her a try and see how it goes. all else fails and I don't like it. I'll return to the green side.

So, I've decided I'm going to get the 4870.. More than likely the Visiontek 4870 for warranty info.

Here is a list of the main ATI brands and what Warranty's they have. Currently Visiontek is the ONLY ati brand that offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty. So thats what I'm wanting to get, that or HIS cuz there bundle comes with a screwdriver with a cool flashlight on it. the rest are all the same. LOL

Note that HIS has the worst track record for warranty service, they won't honor their warranty, even when a card dies within the warranty period, and won't even answer techsupport emails.

thats no good.. Nvidia company's like XFX and BFG both honor NEXT DAY overnight shipping on card failures... sounds good huh

I found this out from a friend who actually owned an HIS X1800 or was it an X1900 that went bad, HIS wouldn't even respond to his email, and he ended up doing an RMA through Newegg and got a different brand.

sadness.. they do have the lowest warranty out of everyone with 1 year.. better get a visiontek next time
