internet settings/control panel

Hello. Can someone tell me how to change my internet settings on vista? It will not let me access internet settings from the control panel(don't know why). In the control panel all of the icons also have labels , but not the internet settings. when I click on it nothing happens. It is really making me irate.

Assuming you mean Internet Options, they can be accessed from inside IE as well.

ie options don't work either

OK, let's take this one step at a time. Can you detail if this ever worked, how long ago (if at all ) it stopped working, what software you might have installed then, and any 'tweaking' you may have performed to your system?

Also in addition to what John asked, have you set any group policies that might have potentially blocked you, or are you running a program such as SpyBot?
