nVidia Desktop color profile does not load after updating to 178.13

Ok so just another regular driver update, removed old forceware, rebooted, installed new ForceWare, rebooted.

Now, I have a desktop color profile tweaked to my liking and also the lighting conditions at my place in nvidia's .nvp format.

That's what I am trying to load and its piddling me off like hell!

I click on "Adjust desktop color settings" and then use the "Profiles" menu > "Load..." and select my saved profile. As usual, I get a warning that "Loading this profile will replace your current settings. Are you sure you want to do this?" to which I click "Yes".

That's when the nvidia control panel hangs:

Please help guys! Even if any one could tell me how to read the values off the saved profile, it would do.

I tried to search for such a program, but since its proprietary format, none is available. Its also not possible to read it in any word processor.

The last thing left to try out is go over to XP and copy the values over to Vista; but I don't have my XP drive with me right now.

Its unusual cause there's no such note in the release notes about old .nvp profiles being incompatible.

Am feeling really weird cause I am so much used to that color profile that now my desktop looks bright, fuzzy and dull colored.

Thanks folks!

Never mind! That driver is pure evil for me! After I overlooked the above issue and continued to watch a movie, the display driver crashed more times than I could keep count! All the while slowing my system to a crawl! Luckily I managed to uninstall it and return to the good ol' 175.19

Man! That must have been the worst graphic driver I have ever tried for Vista!
