9800 GX2 Generic PnP Monitor Help.

I am running Windows Vista 64bit I have (2) Nvidia 9800 GX2 video cards and a Asus Striker II Fomula mother board and a Veiwsonic VM2235wm monitor. No matter what I am trying I cant get my computer to find my monitor. So I can only set my resolution to 1024x768. When I start my computer it gets to the Windows Vista load screen and then it goes into hibernation mode for some reason and then I have to turn the monitor off and then turn it back on again in order to get any picture. I have tried to install multiple video card drivers and I have tried to use the drivers from the CD i got with the monitor along with the drivers from Viewsonics web page. Even when I try to manually load the drivers it still just goes right to Generic PnP Monitor. I hope someone can help me fix my problem here. Thanks

Is this a new build? Did you have one GX2 and added another? What is exactly the procedure that you followed to install the drivers? Did you installed one driver, then reinstalled another? Give some specifics. I had a problem with my monitor too, and it turned out to be a damaged color profile. When I changed it, it turned out just fine.
