8800 gt blue screening

I Just installed a new XFX 8800gt graphics card however since i put it in i have been getting alot of blue screens. some that say something a page not accessed or found (sorry cant member posting from work as my computer wont stay on normal)
or i gt a irql less or equal to error.

i installed the drivers recommended by xfx
(i have a fatl1ty an9 32x motherboard)

i tried using driver cleaner to get rid of my previous drivers but it seems to be taking like about an hour to do so it deletes like 4 registries and nothing else happens after that however it still says searching for nvidia drivers.

can someone advice me on what to do i have uninstalled and installed drivers 4 times now and have the same problem.

Re: 8800 gt blue screening

Where did you get those drivers? From Windows Update? Try downloading them from the nvidia website, this is the one for your card: GeForce Release 178
It's also possible that your card is seated wrongly. Try taking it out of the PCI-e slot and putting it back in. Those blue screens are called BSOD's or blue screen of death, meaning you computer has crashed..
