| Vista Ultimate 64bit SP2/ | Re: Nvidia Geforce 6200 Yes you will be able to use the aero feature and vista will run better with 2GB of ram instead of your 512MB of ram now. |

| Vista Home Premium 32-bit & Vista Ultimate 64-bit both Service Pack 2 W7 Pro RTM 7600 32 & 64 | Re: Nvidia Geforce 6200 You might also want to consider this card: Newegg.com - PNY VCG84512SPEB GeForce 8400 GS 512MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards. This supports DX10 and OpenGL2.1 as opposed to DX9 and OpenGL2.0 for the one that you are thinking about getting. In addition, it has twice the memory (512MB vs 256MB) and only costs $15 more. |

| Vista Buisness 32bit | Re: Nvidia Geforce 6200 Hello, I Do have an nVIDIA GeForce 6200 PCI card, BFG technologies. But i have found some issues with this video card and Vista, I do know the problem is not hardware, because the Card Works wonders on XP with Directx 9.0 (keep this in mind). But On Vista, (Directx 10 by Default) when you load High graphics game, the game will run smoothly for literatly about 6 sec. then it will freeze for about half a minute then the screen will go blank, load back up and then just a never ending cycle of that. then when you exit out of the game there is a Hazard Sign in the Sys. Tray that says "Display Driver has stopped responding and has Recovered". Now, I have another game (4x4 Evolution 2) that runs in Directx and Open GL. When i load the game in Directx it dosnt freeze, but simply gives a Directx Error messages and then closes the application. But the game works Just fine when loaded with Open GL. Now i have Narrowed down the Problem to either a Directx issue, or an Operating issue. If anyone can help me, alls i ask is how do i get Directx 9.0 when Directx10 is already installed. Plz Help, this will help a bunch of ppl Once I can figure this out! :P |
