hidden graphics card

hi, i have a dell inspiron 1520 laptop does anyone know the type of graphics card in it?? ive had a look in device manager but theres no mention of the nivadia card that should be present, i was told there is one in it but hidden some way????
just that my son was questioning what games he could get to play on it, he wants call of duty 4 but unsure if it would work.

    NOT 100% COMPUTER LITERATE BUT WILLING TO TRY.
Looking on the net, it has an 8600m 256mb graphics card. It should be able to play CoD4, but might need to keep the graphics down a bit, but it will be able to play it I'd imagine.

Incase it's not, you can always goto DirectX

- Start > Run
(Or hit Windows Key + R)
- Type dxdiag
Press Return/Enter
- It will ask you if you want to check if your drivers as WHQL signed.. just press no.
- Goto the Display tab, it will have the name of it there.

Also take note of the drivers on the right hand side. If they are quite old you should goto the Dell site and try and find an upgrade.

hi, tried that but comes up intel chipset family under the device heading, but as stated on net should have good card??

Well go to the Nvidia site and download drivers for the 8600. If they install, then you have an 8600 on your laptop.
