| vista home premium 64bit | 3d mark score of just over 10,000 i have a pretty nice machine in my opinion HD4850 amd x2 6000 4gb ocz platinum ram seagate barracudda harddrive etc. is just over 10,000 a realistic score? i have no idea when it comes to 3dmark tbh it was 3dmark 06 btw |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit SP2 | Re: 3d mark score of just over 10,000 3dmark 06 relies heavily on your CPU score to get a "decent score" although 10000 isnt bad your CPU is holding your GPU back , i dont like to use the "bottleneck" word very often (i think its far too overused nowadays) but your CPU is certainly gonna be a bottleneck in your rig , and is definately whats holding back your 06 score However as you know 06 is a synthetic benchmark and holds no real stock in actual gaming performance , but that said i still hold with what i said about the CPU , its definately gonna hold your GPU back in gaming , its just not up to the job in your case. |
