| vista home premium 64 bit | vista can't find new video card hey guys, i'm having a problem with my new cpu. i just bought a HP M9402f. here's the specs: 2.3 GHz AMD Phenom X4 9650 quad core 7 gb of ram plenty of hard drive space NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE graphics i believe the graphics card is integrated into the mother board due to the fact that there is nothing in the pci -e slot, but there is a small chip int he pci-1 slot. the chip looks way to small to be the nvidia card... anyways, i put in an ATI Radeon HD 4650 into the pci-e (16) slot and then i changed the bios to that slot for the video card. however now when i restart the cpu it does not seem to find the card at all. any ideas???? please help!!! |

| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: vista can't find new video card Did you disable the onboard video card on your BIOS? it sure appears as the Bios is still looking at your default onboard card. What card does the Device Manager states you have? I really don't understand this part... Quote: then i changed the bios to that slot for the video card |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: vista can't find new video card You should add/remove the Nvidia drivers. Reboot. Login as administrator. Install the new ATI driver. Make sure your power supply is good enough to support a slotted video card. If its less than 400W, you definitely need a new power supply. |
