The Best Laptop for the Price/Graphics

Guys,
I am looking to buy my niece a laptop for Christmas and I'm looking for some advice. She is only 13 and the only game she really plays at the moment is Sims2. Obviously I would like to buy the the best one I can, but I would like to ensure that for the future it could perhaps play a few better games as well as Sims2.

I can imagine she will be using the laptop for her school work as well over the next few years. Any advice on which one to buy. I don't know much about PC'S but I was told that different graphic cards can make a bit of difference.

Any advice would be appreciated. I can't spend more than about £400

Thanks,
Mark

Re: The Best Laptop for the Price/Graphics

play.com have a good range of laptops under £400,i checked pc world and they didnt have anything worth buying.
Currys had a very nice looking Compaq CQ60-114 AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Processor,2.0GHz,3GB DDR2,160GB HDD,DVDRW,15.6" WXGA,NVIDIA GeForce 8200,Vista Home Premuim,Built in Webcam & WiFi for £399.99

Comet had an HP G60-119EA/EM Laptop with Intel Pentuim Dual Core Processor T3400,3GB DDR2,2.2GHz,250GB HDD,Intel GMA 4500HD 1277MB Graphics,DVDRW & Built in Webcam for just £391.48 sorry unlike ThePizzaman i dont know how to provide a link to these pages.

whatever you do i wouldnt buy anything from pc world as their pc's and laptops are overpriced,i bought my pc there and never had any problems but they cant compete with play.com,dixons,currys and comet on price.Hope you find a nice one
