| Member | Hello i need installtion help :p Can anyone give me a detailed guide or video which ever to show me how to install a PCI-E graphics card with onboard graphics already installed???? i need to know what to do first and last like drivers direct X putting the graphics card the whole nine yards thank you |

Join Date: Dec 2008 Server 2008 R2 , Windows 7 6801 + 6936 x64,6801 6956 x32, Windows Home Premium Sp1 x64, Linux | Re: Hello i need installtion help :p allright what is the model of your computer?? what video card??? unnistall the old video drivers plug in the video card go to the bios (when you first turn on the computer you should see something like BIOS setup or BIOS setting) there should be a setting to disable the IGP and to enable the one in you PCI-e now you should be able to log in BTW are you sure you have adaquete power for your card?? |

| Master | Re: Hello i need installtion help :p One additional step needed on top of what is given by darkassian. If you graphic card is one of the more powerful one, it will need its own power cable connection. The power connector usually are 4 pins with yellow wires as show below. If your power supply does not come with that cable, that means your power supply is inadequate or insufficient for that graphic card. Then you will have to replace the power supply with a more powerful one. ![]() Please feel free to ask if more question. Hope this helps. |
