New Grapic Card.

Hi, I have this GFX (Club 3D Geforce 9500gt 1024mb) PC Lager ApS - Salg af Club 3D GeForce PCI-E 9500GT 1024MB DVI/VGA til en god pris - Club 3D modelnummer: CGNX-G9524Y (Grafikkort, Club 3D). But when I play Frontlines Fuel Of War it only run smooth on the almost lowest settings.
So I thought about buying this instead (Club 3D Radeon HD 4850 Extreme OC 512mb) PC Lager ApS - Salg af Club 3D Radeon PCI-E HD4850 Extreme OC 512MB til en god pris - Club 3D modelnummer: CGAX-4852DDO (Grafikkort, Club 3D). So I wanted to hear if that would make a difference that was the money worth, or would it be stupid.

Re: New Grapic Card.

welcome Knector

well it depends what you want to run

if you want to run the latest games with good settings go for the 4850

but if you are doing cad work then i would go with the 9500gt
that help (although one of the the gddr2 is one of its bottlenecks....)

Re: New Grapic Card.

Thank you, I want to run games like first person shooters, and also the newer ones, so the 4850 would run the game I mentioned with higher settings? and other games like that. The bottleneck you mentioned is that on the 9500 right? What is cad work?

Re: New Grapic Card.

going from a 9500GT to a HD4850 will be like the difference between night & day....

the 4850 is a super performer for its price, as darkassain says if your PSU has a dedicated 6pin & ample power you wont be disappointed with this...

for gaming completely difference...

for cad not so much (since there is where the 1gb memory kicks in...)

i see the 9500gt geting the slight lead there....

Re: New Grapic Card.

By the way, do you think it is a good idea to install a 64bit home premium instead of my 32bit. Would it give to much incompatibility, and would I be able to feel a change when it can see all my memory?
