Issue on graphic card

I installed the VisionTek ATI Radeon x1650PRO and everything seemed to work out right. But when I opened Left 4 Dead. The program immediately does not respond and window vista problem solving comes out. Also I cannot view my computer stats, like this

The ATI Radeon x1650PRO does not have a high power requirement so it is unlikely to be related the PSU. There are two possible problems,

the first to look at is did you install the card correctly?

the second is, do you have the correct drivers for the card. ie 64bit

I checked I should have. I did the systemrequirementlab.com for Left 4 Dead. Passed it. I have a 32Bit vista prem. Inserted the card into the computer and I can see video, played some games I lagged before , no lag. So I think I installed it properly. Secondly I think the card does work on a 32-bit vista.

Note : On the requirement lab it says my driver is
Video Card Driver Version (DirectX)
Your driver version number is: 7.14.10.630
I'm running on vista so I should be able to run it with DirectX10

Ok. I would say the card is okay then. The drivers seem to be not current though the latest for the x1650 are 8.12 You can get them here

I'd have to say the problem is in the Game and not your system. You'll need to start looking at why?. Is it installed properly, what version of DirectX does it use. If DX9 is Dx9c installed. Check for any fixes by MS for games that you might need

Hm I looked at the Driver version. It is NOT my graphic card. Instead it is the chipset that came with the computer. I don't know if that will help :x
Left 4 dead requirement : DirectX9 compatible video card.
Also I cannot rate my vista as well.

The Bios should automatically detect your card if it is properly installed. Look at Device Manager and see if your card appears there. If it doesn't it's back to the card being faulty or incorrectly fitted. Does it have an additional power connector that you haven't connected?

My card is there. It only came with the card and doesn't have any holes to plug anything in.

Some how you don't seem to be giving me any information to help you resolve your problem. You can see your computer, I can't. You know what you've done, I don't.
Please provide a little more detail and give some thought to your response or I can't help you.

Are you saying your card appears in device Manager. Right click and check it's properties

Post me a "snip" of the device manager (Use the snipping Tool in Accessories)

and to the driver version. I compared it with a friend and they were all the same so i don't think that it was the problem

Hey Norm,
I looked at my control panel, there is this thing called 'Intel(R) Graphics media Accelerator Driver, is that what made my graphics before? Before I had the graphic card, the computer graphic came from the motherboard or installed in the motherboard or something, I don't know. Maybe this will help you.

You originally had on-board graphics. Send me a snip of your device manager.

Norm,
I checked that MSINFO32 should be causing the trouble. Whenever I open it
it goes - Can't collect information Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation software. Windows Management files may be moved or missing.

Thanks

My Computer

Try going to the command prompt as an elevated user and type in "systeminfo.exe" and see if it works
