| Vista 32 | Fresh Vista Install Dual Monitors at Full Relsolution Cause Sluggish Performance I just wiped my laptop and installed a new copy of Vista, I installed all the new drivers but now when I try to dock my laptop my computer slows significantly gets very sluggish and freezes at times. When I drop the resolution on the laptop display from 1440 to 1280 everything runs fine. Not sure what to problem is but its killing my performance. Thanks, Sean |

| Windows 7 x64 build 7100 & Ubuntu 9.04 | Re: Fresh Vista Install Dual Monitors at Full Relsolution Cause Sluggish Performance I have no idea what your laptop is or anything in it. It is probably the inability of the video card to handle it. Are you using both displays, or just the one? ~Lordbob |

| Vista 32 | Re: Fresh Vista Install Dual Monitors at Full Relsolution Cause Sluggish Performance Both displays in dual view, Im running my work computer, a Dell Lat. D620. It's weird because this wasn't an issue until after I reinstalled. I was running in dual view with both screens at full res. until this point. |

| Vista 32 | Re: Fresh Vista Install Dual Monitors at Full Relsolution Cause Sluggish Performance Yes once you either turn off the laptop screen and use only the external monitor every thing returns to normal performance. You can also reduce the display resolution and this also fixes the issue. I just don't get what could be driving this issue. |

| Vista 32 | Re: Fresh Vista Install Dual Monitors at Full Relsolution Cause Sluggish Performance But why would this change just from re-intalling Vista and a re-formating the HDD? I did not have this problem until after I re-installed. Could this be a driver conflict from the docking station or just a video driver issue? I reinstalled all drivers from the Dell site. |
