Vista - 512MB Graphics Card needed that does this!! ideas?

just joined this Forum today

i have this Graphics Card installed in my Machine
Inno3D Geforce 8500GT 800MHz 512MB Graphics Card: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

i installed VISTA HOME PREMIUM today and the Aero Windows dont work and dont give me the nice display settings, everything works ok apart from the "eye candy" features

apparently i need a Graphics Card that can do this!

• Has a DirectX 9-class graphics processor unit (GPU) that supports Pixel Shader 2.0
• Supports 32 bits per pixel

does this one meet the above requirements?

it doesnt say when you look at technical info for graphics cards IF it has all these things needed to run Vista Properly!


i have this PC but with 4GB of Ram

your graphics card is fine and supports the aero theme, im confused at why it doesnt.
have you installed the latest drivers here www.nvidia.co.uk

HOW DUMB AM I ??

it wasnt my Graphics Card. it was simply because i hadnt changed the Vista "Theme" to the Aero Setting!! ha ha ha

now it works like a dream!
