    graphic card for for pci e x16 slot.

    Hello to everybody.
    I have a intel board s5000vsa and this has an integrated graphic card ati es1000 .
    i want to add an external graphic card for for pci e x16 slot.
    Can you suggest me anything with good performance with the range 100-200 dollar`s.
    nvidia or ati is better?

    Looking at the specs of your motherboard, the bandwidth of the PCI-E slots are x8 apparently, so you'll be holding the card back to a certain extent.

    I have a 550 watt psu.
    actually i have x4 slot(x8 connector) free but i didint find any graphic for this slot(x4slot) so iam putiing an " PCI Express X4 to X16
    Adapter" to fit x16 card into x4 slot.
    ARC1-08X16-X4 PCI Express X4 to X16 Adapter Orbit Micro
    Please suggest a good graphic card 100-200 dollar or if you have any other idea to put an graphic card into my intel s5000vsa board tell me (x4 and pci-x slot i have free).

    Well the 4850 might be okay that pizzaman suggested. The 4870 might be a bit too much for your PSU, or you go go down to a 4670 or 4650 as well.

    What are you wanting to use the graphic card for? Gaming or just general use?

    I wouldn't spend $200 for a video card that's on an x4 slot. For 2D work, any card in the past 5 years is sufficient to handle the task easily so you don't have to spend much. You'll notice the boost simply by having dedicated video memory on a separate card.

    wait how many pci slots do you have?
    you could get a low end ati card and crossfire them
