ok laptop?
and should be
It's compatible. All integrated graphics cards will "work" on Windows Vista, unless you're running a laptop that's 5+ years old.
This should help you out a little:
http://www.intel.com/support/graphic.../CS-029450.htm
that's good. only one problem though. when i ran the windows vista upgrade advisor, everything else checked out except for the graphics card. if it's compatible, then there's got to be a problem. i while back i was trying to uninstall and reinstall the graphics driver and i may have messed something up in the process. if there's a problem, is there some way i can fix it? oh, yeah. heres my laptop:
toshiba satellite L305 S5915
and my graphics driver:
intel(r) graphics media accelerator driver for mobile
The upgrade adviser just lets you know if your GPU is powerful enough to run Aero, yours is not so you'll be forced to run the Windows Vista "Basic" theme. You can still install and use Windows Vista, though it may not be recommended.
my gpu is powerful enough to run vista. i just need to know why the upgrade advisor is saying that my graphics card won't work on any version of vista despite the fact that it's running on vista home basic.
because windows aero takes more gpu yo run your laptops card will prolly not be able to handle it
but freelancer said the mobile intel(r) 4 series express chipset family graphics card was compatible. therefore, it should be able to run vista if not aero. what i'm trying to figure out is if it's compatible, how come the upgrade advisor is saying that it won't work with vista despite the fact that it's on a computer that already has vista on it?
anybody there? i'm still trying to figure out why my vista upgrade advisor is saying my
