does anyone know how to make sli work properly?

I just put up a post in another seciton asking for general help with my computer's capabilites, but this refers directly to the double nvida geforce 8600 GT I have in my system. Is this a good graphics card? ( within reason)

Seriously my computer was so expensive it should be kicking computer game butt, but every tie a new game comes out it lapses in the graphical prowess department

HELP ME..... please

A double 8600GT shouldn't be bad at all, but it's not at all top of the line... Can you please fill out the rest of your systems specs, it's easier to help that way:) Now what's the problem, your games are not working the way you want them, that's it? Or is there a problem with your SLI? Check your device manager to see if it shows the two cards, then they should be fine. Also, here's a link to update your drivers: GeForce Release 182

What did you pay for your pc? Building one yourself is always better and not hard at all..:)

What are your complete system specifications?
Under the NVidia control centre does it display SLI is active?

Another way the check if SLI is running ok, download and run GPUZ

Its a small application that checks your graphics card configuration with in depth information.

Sadly, it sounds like you may have gotten ripped off. With a 32bit operating system your not going to see or use the full 4GB of RAM, however it should be showing up with uch more then 2.5GB, should be more like 3.5GB showing up.
