| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: no dx 10.1 in vista sp2 beta and sp1 don't worry about it dx10.1 is something that as far as i am aware is not even used in games yet and is only something that ati added, games and software are still only using dx10 only though this may have changed for some of the newer software since it's implementation. also i don't think it is even used by nvdia yet either. though someone may be able to clear that up a bit better for you try looking it up on google all i found were that it isn't used at all for anything and not on nvidia at all, it's an idea put in by ATI. and as from what i found it hasn't been shipped with any versions of windows yet, it may well be their in your system but it certainly isn't being used by any apps. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: no dx 10.1 in vista sp2 beta and sp1 List of games with DirectX 10 support - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia As for why it doesn't show 10.1 in dxdiag, have to take that up with Microsoft. I can tell you that you have the DX 10.1 files if you have update your DirectX any time in the last few months though, just look in your System32 folder and you should have d3d10_1.dll as well as a few others. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: no dx 10.1 in vista sp2 beta and sp1 I didn't mis-quote, you mis-read. The three games I mentioned all use DX 10.1. A/C doesn't have if you patch the game as they removed it, Assassin's Creed Dumps DX 10.1 - Industry News - Overclockers Club and as far as Far Cry 2 goes it even appears that some of the DX 10.1 in it even works on Nvidia cards, bit-tech.net | Nvidia GPUs support DX10.1 features in Far Cry 2 |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: no dx 10.1 in vista sp2 beta and sp1 he wasn't that mean.. wow. common! as far as DX10.1 it is slightly seen in a few... Few games. but for the most part DX10.1 is still yet to be even something that matters, as most games use DX10, and many many games are still running in DX9 for the millions of XP users.. DX10.1 is more of something ATI brought into there graphics cards as a marketing deploy to try and seem like the better card to get. I'm not saying it's completely useless, but for now it sort of is. It might in the future come into play. but I'm thinking more along the lines of Microsoft just going for something like DX11 for Win 7. |

| Windows 7 x64 | Re: no dx 10.1 in vista sp2 beta and sp1 I made a tutorial to see if DX10.1 is installed, even though dxdiag still shows DX10 as it does for everyone: Check to see which DirectX is installed |
