Ack! So Many Choices!

Thinking about upgrading my current video card (nVidia GeForce 8600 GT).

The 8600's performance is good, definitely not in a hurry and so I'm not compelled to make any rash decisions. I've poked around on Newegg and the choices are simply staggering. It's kind of overwhelming.

I want to maybe check out an ATI offering this time around. I'm okay with as much as $200.00 cost. Any suggestions on what I might look at?

ok......No 24

for 1680x1050 here are a few ''top notch'' cards in the $200 range....;)

HD4850 great little performer, low power usage, in CFX these STOMP!!

HD4870 the big brother, super performance, 1gb GDDR5 @ nearly 4ghz = excellent bandwidth, great ''price vs performance'' ratio...

there are a few Nvidia cards in this price bracket also, but i wont list them unless you would like them...
