| Vista Ultimate SP1 x64 | 9800gtx+ artifacting?? Loads of 9800+ cards seem to be doing this, including mine. The screen will turn to some shades of pink with black boxes all over it. Done it 4 times now, see screenshot below. Im not fully convinced that there is anything wrong with it, as nothing has happend when playing crysis will everything maxed out, or even company of heroes maxed out on large scale battles. only time something does go wrong is when im browing the net or other general tasks like installing a program. Does anyone find it suspicious that it only does this when in windows & not when gaming or benchmarking? I had a theory that vita was reducing pcie power so i disabled the pci link management in the power options. *So far* nothing has happend today. P.s notice in the picture: i have 'real time hdr ibl' open (was running a test) then i opened gpu-z which caused the artifacting. It is triggered mostly by the quick alteration of the image on the screen (like flicking between aero & vista standard themes) |

| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: 9800gtx+ artifacting?? I was having this issue, it turned out to be my monitor using the XP/32 bit driver instead of the Vista x64 driver. Once I updated my monitor driver and installed a fresh copy of Nvidia x 64 drivers, the problem went away. I hope this is the issue with you but if not, upgrading the drivers won't hurt any. |

| Vista Ultimate SP1 x64 | Re: 9800gtx+ artifacting?? My case is a weird one tho, as it never happens during demanding apps (tried crysis today, cranked everything up & watched my framerate die & still nothing happend) So i beleive the o/s is somehow trying to manage the pcie power level & it kills the display. |
