I don't know, that's like buying a 800 HP Twin Turbo car to ride on a busy highway that you can only do 75 mph... kinda overkill, more so when the latest games are mostly ports.

But Wholy Cow, those are truly montrous cards, they look to be more for CAD than Gamging, no?

I wouldn't kick it to the side of the pc if I were to receive one though! ;)

Didn't make them better though, did it? :p

2GB was only really common on the x2 cards, which meant 1GB per GPU.

GTA IV in 1440x900 with everything on full uses a whopping 1.5GB of video memory!

CAD graphics cards are more in the $1500 - $2500+ price range so hopefully these cards are cheaper. :)

The majority of games won't utilize the 2GB, but for those texture hungry ones that do, ^^GTA IV example^^) you'll appreciate the extra breathing room it will give you ;)

Could this be because the port to PC was Unoptimized? Not that it would matter since you still need this much but, I guess what I am saying is, if this guys would develop the game specifically for the PC and optimize for it, perhaps, just perhaps, we wouldn't have to shell out so much money to keep up with the eye candy of this ports.
