| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | The era of 2GB+ graphics card looms Quote: GALAXY is preparing its new custom design addition to the GTX285 series: GTX285 2GB. It features a core speed of 648MHz on its 0.8ns GDDR3 memory with a 512bit interface. Quote: After the recent release of the notorious GTX 260 GS GLH, Gainward strikes again and bring this time its own touch of the fastest single GPU card available to the market, the GTX 285. In its quest for quality and better gaming experience, Gainward is constantly searching to improve, optimize or adapt reference design products from its partners. Quote: Palit has announced two new GTX 285 graphics cards. Both cards will have the same custom dual slot cooler with two fans and both will have the same specifications. The only difference is the amount of memory, so in adition to the 1GB version Palit has launched a 2GB version as well. |

| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: The era of 2GB+ graphics card looms I don't know, that's like buying a 800 HP Twin Turbo car to ride on a busy highway that you can only do 75 mph... kinda overkill, more so when the latest games are mostly ports. But Wholy Cow, those are truly montrous cards, they look to be more for CAD than Gamging, no? I wouldn't kick it to the side of the pc if I were to receive one though! |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 : Seven Ultimate x64 | Re: The era of 2GB+ graphics card looms The majority of games won't utilize the 2GB, but for those texture hungry ones that do, ^^GTA IV example^^) you'll appreciate the extra breathing room it will give you ![]() Damn these rising AUS prices |
